Eligibility

 

TECHNICAL

  • Two classes are catered for; one class is for "up to 750 cc 4 strokes" and "air cooled 2 strokes up to 500 cc", the other class is for "4 strokes over 750 cc" and 2 strokes up to 750 cc.

  • 4 stroke machines must be manufactured before 31-12-1972, 2 stroke machines must be manufactured before 31-12-1967.

  • Every class has its own championship.

  • Technical regulations for the both classes within the Camathias are available to download on the button below

  • Capacity checks can be made at any given moment. If you enter a Camathias Cup meeting you automatically agree with your sidecar having a capacity check.

ENTERING FOR EVENTS

  • Some Camathias Cup events are open for guest riders, but only if there are not enough registered Camathias Cup competitors to make a full grid. See the Calendar page.

  • Registered Camathias Cup competitors who participate in all meetings will be the first group that get an entry at meetings.

  • Registered Camathias Cup competitors who do not participate in all meetings are the second group that get an entry at meetings.

  • Guest riders are the third group that get an entry at meetings, and will not be entered into the Camathias Cup results. Preference will be given to competitors with sidecars that in appearance and technically are within the spirit of the Camathias Cup. 

RACES

  • Every meeting will not have more than 2 races counting for the Camathias Cup championship.

  • At every meeting the races that count for the Camathias Cup will be wherever possible on a different day.

  • Points scoring system for every race:

  • If there is a tie on points between two teams in the same class at a meeting, The team with the fastest lap time will be placed before the other team
